eBooks use the EPUB (.epub) file format for an e-book reader application or a dedicated e-book reader. E-book readers allow for text to potentially be changed to make reading on a screen easier. By contrast, PDF (.pdf) files tend to maintain strict “print-like” layouts that can be read on screen or printed. PDF files are not re-flowable, their text size cannot be adjusted for display on various devices.
